Children's Minnesota recently received a $35 million gift, the largest of its kind. The powerful investment will be used to support a 10 - year initiative to build the infrastructure, expertise and access needed to advance precision medicine and individualized care for children. This includes expanding capabilities in genomic and molecular medicine, gene and cell therapies, regenerative medicine, and other innovative approaches designed to identify disease earlier and bring promising treatments closer to home. This journey will take time, thoughtful planning, and collaboration across many teams. But with this gift, the resources are available to begin building the structure, partnerships and capabilities needed to make this vision a reality.

Children's Minnesota is one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States and the only one in Minnesota devoted exclusively to children. Against this backdrop of growth and investment, Children's Minnesota is recruiting for two outstanding opportunities within its nationally recognized Genetics and Genomics Department:

Pediatric Clinical Geneticist

  • Expand access to care, respond to significant patient demand, and help advance comprehensive pediatric genomic services.

Medical Director of Genetics and Genomics

  • Guide strategic growth, strengthen multidisciplinary partnerships, and advance precision medicine and program development.

Both positions offer the opportunity to help shape the next era of pediatric genomic medicine within Minnesota's only pediatric-exclusive Genetics and Genomics program at one of the nation's leading pediatric health systems.

Children's Minnesota will also become a member of the Golisano Children's Alliance, a national network of 21 children's hospitals collaborating to advance pediatric care through shared learning and innovation.

The organization is expanding the nationally recognized Genetics and Genomics program, creating opportunities for physicians at multiple stages of their careers. Whether you are seeking a clinically focused role with mentorship and growth opportunities or a leadership position focused on shaping the future of pediatric genomic medicine, Children's Minnesota offers a platform for meaningful impact, innovation, and professional fulfillment.

As Minnesota's only pediatric-exclusive Genetics and Genomics program, Children's Minnesota provides comprehensive enterprise-wide services across a five-state referral region. Physicians collaborate with multidisciplinary teams supporting pediatric specialties including hematology-oncology, cardiology, neonatology, immunology, neurology, and pulmonology. With increasing demand for genetics services and ongoing investment in precision medicine, pharmacogenomics, and genomic diagnostics, incoming physicians will play an integral role in expanding access to care and advancing the future of pediatric genetics.
