What you'll do

What you bring
- You hold an MD or DO and have completed Emergency Medicine residency training
- You are Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and hold an active, unrestricted Florida medical license
- You have an active DEA registration with a Florida address, plus current ACLS and PALS
- You can provide the required recent case logs and CME records, including stroke CME of 6 hours within 2 years or 9 hours within 3 years
- You meet current flu, TB and COVID requirements and can complete regional cross-credentialing

We are seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for locum coverage within a regional Emergency Medicine network in Central Florida, beginning September 2026. Physicians will be cross-credentialed to provide coverage across multiple Emergency Departments within the regional model.

- 37-bed Emergency Department
- Approximately 51,000 annual ED visits

- Additional hospital location included in cross-credentialing model
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Emergency Medicine care
- Evaluate and manage patients across varying acuity levels
- Perform all procedures required within the Emergency Department
- Stabilize and manage acute and emergent presentations
- Work collaboratively with APPs and Emergency Department clinical staff
- Rotate across regional Emergency Departments as scheduled
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Emergency Medicine residency training
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine required
- ABEM preferred
- Active, unrestricted Florida medical license required
- Active DEA with Florida address required
- ACLS required
- PALS required
- ATLS required when covering trauma-designated locations
- Must be comfortable performing all department-required procedures
Credentialing
- Case logs from the previous 2 years required
- CME documentation from the previous 2 years required

Ideal Candidate
A Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician with an active Florida license and Florida-based DEA who is comfortable working within a regional coverage model and rotating between multiple Emergency Departments. Candidates should be comfortable managing the full scope of Emergency Medicine patients and performing all required ED procedures.
