What you'll do
- Provide pediatric emergency care in a 30-bed ER handling volumes approaching 55,000 patients annually
- Coordinate care with PEM physicians, hospitalists and subspecialty teams, including transitions with Pediatric ICU, CVICU and NICU
- Teach and mentor residents in pediatrics, emergency medicine and family practice, along with Pediatric ER fellows
- Work twelve 12-hour shifts per month with full scribe coverage
- Coordinate with child life specialists and pediatric social workers involved in ER care
What you bring
- You are board eligible within 5 years of residency or board certified in Pediatrics
- You have current or recent inpatient hospital experience
- You hold a Nevada medical license or are willing to obtain one
- You must obtain a DEA before starting
- You must obtain a CSR/CDS before starting

Job Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality pediatric emergency care in a busy, 30-bed pediatric ER with volumes approaching 55,000 patients annually.
- Collaborate closely with Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) physicians, hospitalists, and subspecialty teams.
- Participate in a supportive environment with child life specialists and pediatric social workers integrated into ER care.
- Contribute to teaching and mentorship of pediatric, emergency medicine, and family practice residents, as well as Pediatric ER fellows.
- Work full-time, covering twelve 12-hour shifts per month.
- Utilize full scribe coverage to enhance efficiency and patient care quality.
- Engage with affiliated Pediatric ICU, CVICU, and NICU teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
- Open to BC/BE candidates (fresh graduates and experienced providers welcome, but recent inpatient experience required).
- This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.
