  • Role: Nocturnist - Internal Medicine

Clinical Details

  • Schedule: 7-on/7-off; 12-hour shifts (6-6 or 7-7 depending on site)

  • Volume: 18-22 patients/day (may be higher during busy season)

  • Hospital : 0-2 from 6 AM-12 PM; daytime admitter 12-8 PM

  • Hospital : Admissions from 7 AM-12 PM or 4-7 PM

  • Coverage:

  • Hospital : 5 hospitalist teams, 2 NP teams, one admitter, ICU nocturnist at night

  • Hospital : 2 hospitalists + 1 NP team, 1 nocturnist at night

  • ICU Duties:

  • Hospital : ICU rounding possible, Intensivist support available

  • Hospital : ICU rounding required; transfer decompensating patients to Hospital

  • Codes:

  • Hospital : Respond to codes/RRTs for own patients; ED/Intensivists lead

  • Hospital : Respond to all codes/RRTs

  • Procedures: Not required

    Compensation & Benefits
